Water Meditation: My Journey of Healing and Connection at Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey

A Morning That Changed Everything
There are moments in life that become etched in the soul. My meditation at Lake Hopatcong, here in New Jersey, was one of those moments — incredibly transformative, full of meaning, healing, and a deep connection with my truest self.
Every time I feel the need to reconnect with myself, Lake Hopatcong is where I turn. It is there that I find silence, inner listening, and the most authentic version of who I am. This journey of self-knowledge, combined with water meditation, has become more powerful and revealing with each visit.
The Month of Water Celebration
This month we celebrate water — that sacred element that permeates our entire existence. We are made of water. We are pure life energy. Water carries memory, healing, and an intelligence that goes far beyond what the eyes can see.
To celebrate water is to celebrate ourselves.
The Meditation: Compassion for Water – Michiko Emoto Peace Project
The practice I experienced on this special day was the Compassion for Water Meditation, from the Michiko Emoto Peace Project — an initiative inspired by the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto, who dedicated his life to studying how consciousness, words, and intentions affect the molecular structure of water.
In this meditation, we send love, gratitude, and compassion to water — to rivers, lakes, oceans, and the water that lives in every cell of our bodies. It is a practice of collective and individual healing at the same time.
I sat on a floating platform on Lake Hopatcong — gently rocking on the water, completely surrounded by nature. I breathed deeply. And I allowed myself to feel everything: inner peace, connection, tears, manifestations, emotions without names — only presence.
A Special Request from My Guide
My dear guide, Mrs. Lori, asked me for a video of this meditation to share with our entire community. What an honor and what a beautiful responsibility to be able to bring this experience to more people!
I am a student and active member of the Meditation University community, and it is with so much love that I share this experience with you — and with everyone walking this path of transformation.
For You Who Are Reading This
Water meditation is for everyone — and you don't need a lake to experience it. You can practice it wherever water is present:
- 🌊 On a floating platform or boat, gently rocking on a lake or river
- 🏖️ At the beach, sitting at the shoreline with your feet touching the waves
- 🚿 In your own shower or bath at home — let the water flow over you with intention and gratitude
- 🪣 Even with a simple bowl of water in front of you, eyes closed, hands hovering above the surface
The location doesn't matter. The intention is what transforms. Send love to the water. Send love to yourself.
Thank you for being with me on this journey of transformation. Each one of you is part of this story — the story of Debora in search of a better version of herself, and of Estilo Liz as the expression of that evolution.
With love, gratitude, and plenty of lake-blessed water 💚🌊
